Overall

Neither V6 or I4 version is enough power. The design of the car screams for better engines. Mine is I4 and despite power shortage, the engine runs very smoothly and has excellent fuel economy.

Engine

Both V6 and I4 are weak... The base engine should have been 1.8 or 2.0 I4 as 626 and MX6 siblings and Mazda should have created a 2.5 V6 or 2.3 miller cycle V6 version for this car.

Car maintenance

Typical Mazda affair. I had 323 and 626 as well as MX3/6. They are all similar. My car is 1992 model and sports a stronger 114 HP B69 1.6 engine variant on it.
